He is a post graduate in Economics from Madras University. He also holds post graduate degrees in Industrial Mathematics, Computer Management and Master of Business Administration from various universities. After his 17 years of service in Indian Air Force, he worked in various capacities in various banks. He was a General Manager in Indian Bank from 2016 to 2023. During this period, he was appointed as CVO of Oriental Insurance Company Ltd, United India Insurance Company Ltd and Indian Overseas Bank. In Indian Bank as General Manager, he headed Treasury & International Operations, Risk Management, Retail Assets and Liabilities including Bulk Deposits, Bancassurance, Credit card, Digital payments and Banking Operations. He also headed Gujarat, Western UP and Uttarakhand Operations.
